Fall Into Reading Challenge: Wrap Up Post

FIR09small

Introductory Post is here.

I read all four books I set out to read. I’m thankful for this challenge because as a fairly new book blogger it gave me a chance to try out the challenge circuit and to read some books I had wanted to get read. And boy am I glad I read them. I loved all four books. One was a re-read from high school. The others were all new to me. My favourite was The Year of Living Biblically but both The Giver and My Ántonia touched me deeply and forever changed me just like Brave New World changed me ten years ago.

The Reviews

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

The Giver by Lois Lowry

My Ántonia by Willa Cather

The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs

Zee, thanks for the reminder about wrapping the Fall Into Reading Challenge. I need to get busy on mine.

I so enjoyed your review of My Antonia. It is one of my favorite books of all time. I've read it several times and your review makes me want to read it yet again. My daughter is going to read The Giver for school in January. Sounds like I should get a copy and read it ahead of time.

Great reviews!

You read 4 very interesting books and I enjoyed reading your reviews. I read Year of Living Biblically too and found myself laughing and reading it out loud to my husband. I also read the Giver for Lit class and had some great discussions about it. Happy reading!

I've read and loved three of your four books and will have to read The Year of Living Bibically. Great job on the fall reading.
